PB1A Weight Loss Plan vs Muscle Gain Plan

When it comes to getting healthy and in shape many people have different goals that they wish to accomplish whether it’s losing weight, gaining muscle, building up endurance or just living a healthier lifestyle. A lot of people don’t accomplish those goals because they are hesitant because they don’t know where to start. This is why there are many workout and nutrition plans for these certain goals for people to use as a guide. If your goal was to gain healthy weight and build muscle, you wouldn’t want to be doing exercise that'll make you lose weight and possibly muscle. Also you have to know the right things to eat in order to achieve these goals. You can be doing all the right workouts, but in the end there would be no results because of the way you eat. This is why workout and nutrition plans are so important to recognize and understand so people can know exactly what to do specifically for their goals. When we are looking at workout and nutrition plans we have to know what makes a workout plan a workout plan? Well when looking at a workout/nutrition plan usually they outline what the goal and purpose of the plan is. Also there are opinions and successful results of the plan, but also there may be criticism of the plan as well. When looking at a workout plan the exercise and portion sizes of food are outlined. I will be comparing the workout plans of weight loss and muscle gain to show the differences between the two.

My 1st example https://www.mensjournal.com/health-fitness/4-week-workout-plan-lose-weight-and-burn-away-belly-fat/ is about weight loss. In this weight loss plan there are more emphasis on running then there is in a muscle gain plan. Also it leans more towards intense, quick workouts in order to boost the metabolism to lose more weight. Also in the weight loss plan it outlines the type of food to eat such as high breakfast protein, drinking more water and eating more fiber and staying away from sugars.

My 2nd example https://www.muscleandfitness.com/workouts/workout-routines/gain-10-pounds-muscle-4-weeks-1 is about the weight gain aspect of working out. Here in the muscle gain plan instead of putting emphasis on cardio/running it focuses more on just heavy lifting with a high amount of sets which would take quite longer than the weight loss plan. Foods to eat for muscle gain would be to eat more protein than in the weight loss plan and to eat carbs after your workout. Unlike the weight loss in which eating carbs would be bad for you. Both of the plans did have an introduction that included the person writing the workout plans stating that yes doing the plan isn’t easy and it will be challenging, but that the results will come. So basically they also have some sort of motivation and just trying to get people to cope with where they are now, but how they’ll be in the future.

  2. Good Job! I really loved how you were thorough throughout your whole Project Builder 1A .I actually used your Project Builder 1A as a template for my examples as I was writing my own. I like how you compared the workout plan differences between weight loss and muscle gain. Loved how you made your readers aware of what you thought both before and after your predictions.. While reading this you gave me a clear image in my head of what you were explaining. Great job! Love how you presented and explained both your examples vividly as well as provided evidence.

  3. Comparing different workouts and workout plans is a great textual genre to compare between. It shows that what you really expect for a motivational aspect sometimes is, or isn’t, in what you’re watching. Also, comparing different websites with aspects and opinions on weight loss plans and workouts helps show how people’s ideas on the topic differ. Talking about the fact that people don’t know where to start with their weight loss plan really brings this writing down-to-earth and helps relate this to most people’s lives. After reading your PB1A, it’s clear that weight loss plans and workouts work hand-in-hand to help you towards a healthier lifestyle.

  5. There are a couple things that I personally like about how you talked about both the weight loss plan and the muscle gain plan. Playing basketball and trying to stay in shape during the season made me make a connection. You carefully stated the most important observations from the weight loss plan to the muscle gain plan and really compared and contrasted the two. I liked how you made your own predictions before and after you actually started writing. Another thing that stood out was how you organized the information. You clearly stated the differences between both the plans and I liked how you gave specific examples of each. Usually when I'm working out I rarely pay attention to the type of plan I want to be on. I sometimes just do the regular stuff like running but I now wonder if I should be doing more like eating certain foods to either lose weight or building more muscle. Overall, you did a good job, it was relatable.
